This is russian-doll style filmmaking: 8 hours spent on animated movies. After hours, work goes in on making a live-action short. Spare time beyond that gets shunted not to sleep or bathing but to an animated short side project.

I went up last week to check out the store I’ll be shooting my short film in - the very same grocery store I worked at during the beginning of this blog. They’ve remodeled a lot of the store, and it looks really great and classy… but to my relief the meat department is the same as always! There are a lot of signs on the walls back there reminding people not to go in the out doors, or to make sure to wash their hands. Seems like it would be distracting to have signs like that up… so my art department (all two of us) are making some signs to go OVER those.
We’re pretty shamelessly ripping off vintage meat posters, but I think we’re adding enough of our own sensibilities to make them distinctly our own.
