From the beginning and end of Hitchhiker. Danielle and Austin. Director of photography is Dani; the gorgeous lighting is courtesy of Erick and Stephan, an Arri 300, a Kino Diva 400, and the Sacramento Valley.
What’s amazing about films (short, feature, animated or live action) is that you go in with the seed of an idea and everybody who comes onto it makes it better for having been there. It becomes something you couldn’t have done on your own… a real group effort.

After this weekend we’ll be done shooting and start editing the footage together for Hitchhiker. I’ll start posting drawings again after that… I promise… once I get some sleep…

Yay! Looking good Emma. Can’t wait to see more.

I know! He’s not pulling faces and I don’t think he’s got a single pun in the short. It’s truly acting!

Yeah, yer drawrin’’s cool, but soz yer other projects - and whatever happened to Dungeons and Shenanigans? Nice stills… they really create the suspense… a- we ave a hitchhiker who is hitchhiking..(and has well-groomed nostrils, which is important) b- a hitchhiker picker-upper passes by… will he pick her up? c- The obvious solution would be yes - but I’m guessing, that just to challenge expectations, he doesn’t pick her up, just zooms on by… and then our heroine realizes the cost-efficient and socially responsible virtues of public transportation… I’m just guessing here…
