About

July 20, 2007

This is a picture of me. It’s worth a thousand words! This single picture pretty much tells you everything about me.

  • Note the hair, shaggy and untrimmed. This is because apparently you have to make an appointment to get it cut - and then remember to show up! What you can tell by this: I am focused on many things, but haircuts are not one of them.
  • Glasses, from too much drawing. Notice also that the prescription is outdated, causing the confused squint and an inability to recognize much of anyone from more than six feet away. What you can tell by this: Again, I am focused on many things, but unfortunately many things are out of focus to me.
  • Youthful face, open and innocent. Yet still tinged with cares beyond my years! What you can tell by this: I probably forgot to take the cat box out this morning.
  • Sweatshirt - keeping me warm and sketchbooked (note pockets). What you can tell by THIS: Even though it’s July, I enjoy wearing sweatshirts to the point of becoming overheated! This is an artistic quirk.
  • Anagram of name - Acme Moats. What you can tell by this: Nobody can build a better moat than me.
  • Cigarette taped to chin, which clearly communicates that while I do not smoke, I don’t argue the absolute cool factor that comes with cigarettes in close proximity to the face.
  • Here’s what some respected publications have to say about me:“It is truly astounding that someone can turn so abruptly from a career in illegal pinniped trafficking to the pursuit of art!” - The KL Gazzeteer“oh oh oh - you are not going to believe this! A+++!” - durga438“… EMMA … is … several laboratories and other institutions throughout Europe.” - The European Mouse Mutant Archive“MONKEH … GRATUITOUS AMOUNTS OF ENERGY … UNCOMFORTABLY ENERGETIC … KENYANS” - The JerintquirerI hope you are duly impressed by the high praise that you read here - please enjoy my art.If you want to get in touch with me for some reason (for example, to tell me how my art could be more enjoyable), my email is: emmacaco at gmail dot com.
